Abstract:	在道德哲學的論著中，很常見的一個爭論問題是：一般所說的道德或道德判斷，究竟是感情的事抑是理性的事？這個問題是以不同的形式，在大多數現代或近代的倫理學的探討中出現。而且，它曾經被認為是不同的道德學說和學派的主要分界線．休謨 (David Hume、1711-1776)是一位對道德感情論貢獻甚大的哲學家。可是在倫理學中，他是一位感情主義者，抑是一位自然主義者，卻又讓人難以確定。本文不擬對他的身份做鑑定工作，而只是對他的重要的倫理學論點做一批判研究。藉此，筆者得對道德或道德判斷中「理性」與「感情」的地位和關係，提出個人觀點。行文時，乃併用分析、比較、演譯及舉例說明諸方法，以導向結論。本文內容共分四部份：第一部份是序論，指出休謨以其「知覺」理論為基礎，如何區分「理性」與「感情」；第二部份是討論「理性」與「感情」的對象；第三部份是探究「道德的根源」；第四部份是結論，說明道德發展的高階段，乃是「理性」與「感情」合一，追求「理想」的境界，以做為全文的結束。
