    Abstract: The part-period balancing lot-sizing algorithm is modified to use fuzzy data for the single-stage lot-sizing problem. Triangular fuzzy numbers are used to represent uncertainty in the master production schedule. This paper shows that uncertain demand can be easily incorporated into the part-period balancing lot-sizing algorithm and that a fuzzy master production schedule can be used to determine production lot sizes. A detailed example is presented to illustrate the technique.
