Abstract:	本文旨在有系統的分析和重構荀子的社會思想之結構和涵義。全文分六節。首節紹述荀子其人，且試由經濟的變遷、政治的轉型和知識的研求與教育的普及三面向分析春秋至戰國時代的社會變遷。次節說明筍子的性偽之辨以明其以心治性的人性觀，且進而言天人之分以明其自然與人文的區別與關係。第三節剖析荀子源於人類共同生活需要的社會起源說。第四節由人性的向惡說及大清明心之明理義，闡釋荀子擬建構一套合乎社會正義的社會層級結構，及其「維齊非齊」的正義觀。第五節探討荀子的聖人君子如何由統類心，針對結構、功能及價值三要素進行社會建制及其管理系統之規劃。第六節析論荀子以社會整體生存權益為本位的經濟規劃，贊許有限度的商品經濟及開源節流的農業經濟為本說。第七節探討荀子以化性成偽的教育觀促成人的社會化，且以賞罰的工具維護社會正義及規範。同時，兼紹述荀子的終極社會理想及社會救濟政策。第八節為具綜合評論式的結論。
