    Abstract: 易學原包含「象」與「數」兩途，二者雖二而一，目的均在於說明宇宙自然之「理」。唯「象」為顯的一面，卦象符號，人望而知；「數」則隱於象中，為抽象的概念，必致思而後得；故歷代易家明象之人多而研數之人稀。邵雍好學深思，致力於以「數」明「理」，乃成為易數學之大家。也因為他是本哲思以言數，與漢易中孟、焦、京氏本於用術的數學不同，故被其當代學者及後世學界尊為理學家，而不列於術家。依邵氏的思想，宇宙萬象不離於數，而萬象之數來自天地，故認識天地之數最為重要。本文述邵氏「演天地之數」，區作以下三方面：一為天地始終之數。二為天地體用之數。三為天地圓方之數。這三方面均屬於天地之數源起的述明，另天地之數用於萬物生化方面，在思想上屬於「萬物變化」的領域，則未及。
