Title:	英文老師對兒童英語之態度調查研究

Abstract:	近年來台灣兒童(美)語補習班林立，是否應該在國小列入英語課程的問題也起各界普遍的討論。本文採問卷調查的方式，以目前在兒童英(美)語補習班、國中、高中、大學任教的英文老師為研究對象，調查他們對兒童英(美)語之態度。研究範圍包括（一）研究英文老師是否贊成兒童英語教學，以及其對兒童之學習年齡、老師的背景、學英語對母語及兒童心態之影響以及教學方式之看法，另外並調查其對兒童英語現行相關法規的認識。（二）研究不同性別、年齡、地區、任教學校、教育背景之英文老師對兒童英語之態度差異。（三）研究現階段校外兒童英語教學對學校教學帶來的影響。調查結果發現英文老師絕大多數贊成國中前學英文。大部份的英文老師們都會告訴子女／學生英文為國際語及求知利器，並且不同意國小時期學英語會造成崇洋媚外或高人一等的心態。在學習年齡方面，許多老師都認為應該在國語已具基礎的國小中、高年級開始學英文。至於國小學英文對母語之影響則僅有百分之四的老師認為有負面影響。關於英語該列入正式課程或是納入課外活動，選答人數幾乎是各占一半。至於因填簽老師之個人背景不同而產生的態度差異，經交叉分析結果發現在十四題選擇題中，因任教地區不同而造成的顯著差異有一題，性別兩題，教師教有程度四題，教師任職學校六題，教師年齡八題。至於兒童英語對英語教學的影響一項，大學、高中及補習班老師多未填或答「不詳」，國中及補習班老師則認為是有利有弊。
