Abstract:	本文共分三部份及結語。第一部份說明什麼是事實判斷和什麼是道德判斷以及其關係如何。事實判斷可用觀察來驗證，或至少間接地可由觀察來驗證；而道德判斷似乎不管是直接地或間接地都不能用觀察來驗證。更且，道德判斷似乎亦不能根據事實判斷推理而得。換句話說，似乎道德判斷與事實判斷之間有不可跨越的鴻溝存在。第二部份根據第一部份，指出道德判斷似乎根本就不是在描述外在世界，所以我們亦無法用「觀察」直接地或間接地由外在世界取得驗證。極端的道德虛無主義者認為，道德本就是一種幻覺而非客觀的存在，沒有「道德事實」，當然也就沒有道德真理和道德知識的存在，而道德判斷更是毫無意義了。向外在世界尋找不到道德判斷的根據，何妨回頭向內找。有一種比較溫和的道德虛無主義主張：雖無「道德事實」存在，但道德判斷仍是有意義的，只是它不是在描述外在世界，而是在表達下判斷者的（道德）感情或態度。但什麼是道德的感情或態度呢？道德的感情或態度就有客觀性嗎？第三部份說明客觀的道德判斷終以一般人類之所欲為依歸。人性雖靈動複雜，但卻也展現某些人性的一致處，或某些一致的價值觀。－－這些即是道德判斷客觀性的根據。結語強調人是理性生物，乃是行為的主體。應「役物、而不役於物」。
