Abstract:	本論文先肯定孔孟對政治人物的批評，對後世以至現代，都有深遠的影響。然後透過孔孟對春秋政治人物－－齊桓公、晉文公、管仲、晏嬰、子產的品評，去尋求其品評的角度與尺度，從而探討其品評的現代意義。本文論其品評的現代意義有五：一、品評政治人物的功業高下，重視仁政王道的落實，輕賤霸業手段的完成。二、政治人物可從器識與為人品其高下，也以其行為是否磊落、作風是否正派為主要的尺度。三、品評政治人物不應過於苛責求全，而應注意其能否權衡利弊得失、把握原則與目標。四、政治人物不應汲汲於塑造示惠的形象，而應注重群體目標的實現。五、政治人物不應有施恩予惠的心態，而應以造福百姓為當然的責任。以上可供當代中國政治人物與輿論界之參考，或有助於中國政治革新與現代化。
