    Abstract: 蘇軾為高麗人最崇敬之文學家，甚至高麗大臣有仰慕蘇軾而取名「富軾」者。但蘇軾卻自始至終反對宋廷與高麗的外交與文化交流，並且七上奏疏，請朝廷禁止與高麗之正式外交。如此一位曠懷千古、見識宏遠的大文學家，何以在與鄰國的外交上，有這麼闇昧且違悖情理的觀念，其動機與所持心態，實在值得深究。本文即針對此一問題，作時間（當時兩國之外交進行狀況）及空間（當時宋廷與鄰邦強弱利害關係）的相關探討，期能由小觀大，顯示當時宋代文人對於宋廷外交之態度。細考蘇軾反對宋、麗交流的理由有五：（一）館待麗使，所費不貲。（二）宋廷賜予，耗費過高。（三）麗使藉機圖畫中國之山川形勢，窺測虛實，陰為契丹耳目（四）麗使購買宋人策論與戲褻雜文等書籍，上則洩漏宋廷機密，下則取笑夷狄。（五）高麗實受契丹暗諭，始來中國朝貢，本不利於宋廷。實則上述五種理由都很牽強，都可由宋代史料中尋得具體的證據，一一予以反駁。並且可以由此看出蘇試對當時的國際情勢認識不清，及新舊黨爭之下被刻意犧牲的睦鄰外交。這也是本文意圖澄清的一個問題。
