The purpose of this study is to translate drama therapy, the pioneering academic field for promoting personal growth and health, to human resources development innovation. The research question centers on how drama-based training and drama therapy techniques are applied into organizational development in Taiwanese business contexts. The author argues that this receptivity to drama can be attributed to Taiwan’s unique business culture that is grounded in Taoism and guided by contemporary interpretations and applications of Laozi’s Tao Te Ching. The author explores a cultural macro level by conceptualizing on two characteristics of Taoism into Taiwanese corporate culture: Ecology becomes harmony and community-building promotes teamwork. In addition, the author analyzes Taiwanese practices through these two concepts. The author concludes that drama therapy applications facilitate to create a harmonious and collaborative corporate culture.
