Title:	前世紀台灣鏡像中的國家與個人─平面媒體再現柴契爾訪臺、柴契爾主義、與臺灣

Abstract:	柴契爾（Margret Hilda Thatcher）逝世之後，台灣的平面媒體述及柴契爾實施的新自由經濟政策時，提及過度強調市場機制的政策埋下了全球貧富差距益大的種子（天下雜誌，2013年4月17日，第520期），也曾呼籲在國內貧富差距拉大之時應更深入理解柴契爾主義（聯合晚報社論，2013年4月19日）。以「新自由主義」、「應盡義務」、與「社會福利」等常與柴契爾主義並論的關鍵字回頭檢視柴契爾生前兩度（1992年、1996年）訪台時的相關平面媒體報導，對照本論壇中有關今年柴契爾過世時的相關報導，可進一步理解台灣媒體在近距離建構、框架柴契爾與其治理、以及其對台灣的意義上的作為。另一層意義是，相較於當前大眾媒體瑣碎化的呈現、以人情趣味取代政治影響的分析與再現，審視當時媒體再現，也有助理解台灣媒體中國際與在地的連動樣貌。
