    Abstract: 台灣傳統產業漸淹沒在時代的洪流之下,企業與政府亦沒有加以鞏固傳統產業的核心技術,直到近十年來傳統產業開始自覺,積極思考轉型之道,然因為過去未及時做出反應,即使近年台灣走向實質負利率時代,有望促進出口,然傳統產業想重拾本業優勢走出新事業的過程會仍為艱辛。
    日本亦有許多傳統企業經營了百年以上,過去在工業時代背景下,其企業以出色的生產線管理與產品品質控管,成為當時追求生產效率時代下的佼佼者,然日本企業在注重生產概念的同時也不斷追求規模經濟,大量生產低成本又品質精良的產品,歷經了80年代對於高品質所引起的品質管理熱潮、90年代科技的突飛猛進,這些百年企業不斷地挑戰自身的管理思維,推動新的經營策略與具體的變革行為,投入資源強化自身的核心能力,持續地在相關領域與新興市場為顧客服務,企業為了要永續經營,受環境衝擊後,要做到及時反應、迅速爬起,固然平時就需要不停地調整組織運作的每一個環節,適時地轉變經營的策略,捨棄過去帶來成功現在卻不合時宜的經營觀念。
    從以上的討論更可以看出相較於台灣,日本的企業較不會一窩蜂地投資當代熱門的產業,而是持續地深耕自身的核心能力,投資其他相關的資源或能力,進而重新定義自己以開創新的市場;日本許多百年企業,為提高自身競爭力,發起創新與變革並堅持本業的技術與能力,化危機為轉機,老牌公司也能夠煥發新生機。故本研究希望以業界第一的日本百年企業:龍角散與內田洋行兩個案公司為標竿,進一步挖掘其受外在衝擊後再復榮景之奧義,又老企業是如何突破自我、注入新思維後不間斷地創新,為自己創造藍海市場,本研究欲以實際的企業個案來討論百年企業由策略面之創新進而做出改變與調整的實例,以期為台灣企業所借鏡。
