Abstract:	Intranet的環境下，透過全球資訊網(WWW)，可以很容易地展現多媒體的資訊，並且有效地整合現有的文件、資料及應用系統，透過親切的介面，經由網路，讓民眾可以很容易的瞭解政府的施政方針及各項資訊。由於它含有豐富資訊的介面，也具備雙向溝通的能力，可以發展出非常多有用的系統。在衛生署所建立的全國醫療資訊網上，利用Intranet的技術，開發與建置疫情調查管理系統雛型，同時也是全國醫療資訊網計畫中的一個單元。在本系統中將建立全國疫情資料庫，儲存所有疫情報告的資料，同時建立一個其有親和力的全球資訊網伺服器以收集各地所通報的疫情資料；並建立一個其有雙向溝通的完全分散式系統，此系統將克服舊有分散式系統的通病一應用系統分散在各單位，造成系統維修及版本更新的困擾；同時本系統將不受主機的束縛，不論任何一種平台只要開發一套軟體皆可適用。
