    Abstract: 無線區域網路目前成為通訊市場上廣受歡迎的應用技術，然而現有無線區域網路上安全機制的防護對策仍嫌薄弱。無線區域網路是以空氣為傳播媒介，資料完全曝露於周遭的環境中，相對於傳統有線網路透過實體線路的傳遞，其安全性更是值得堪慮。在無線區域網路的強烈需求下，本研究已在個人電腦的硬體架構下，建構一套無線入侵偵測系統，針對特定無線區域網路進行入侵偵測與防範處理，如偵測War Driving無線存取點探測、防制破解WEP加密機制之攻擊、TELNET攻擊、偵測偽造MAC address的連結等，藉以降低因惡意入侵或不當截取所造成的資源耗費與損害來保護無線區域網路使用者。建構於一般桌上型電腦上的無線入侵偵測系統，具有不易佈署、不易管理、機動性小及硬體架設平台耗費龐大資金的缺失所在。環顧目前國內蓬勃發展的嵌入式技術而言，具有體積小、高擴充性、成本低廉、機動性高及容易架設等優點，使得相當多的研發人員紛紛將系統延伸至嵌入式系統平台上，來藉以提高系統的機動性、管理性、方便架設以及大幅降低硬體架設成本。有鑑於此，本研究將改善無線入侵偵測系統架設於一般桌上型電腦的缺點，將此系統移植至嵌入式系統的硬體實驗版上，藉以提高系統的機動性、管理性、方便架設等優勢，使得在佈署此防護機制時，不但能降低硬體的架設成本，並且強化系統針對難以防範的安全問題所採取主動防禦措施的功能，大幅提升無線區域網路環境中資料存取與資料授權的機密性功效來保護無線區域網路使用者。
