    Abstract: 隨著生活的數位化以及影音壓縮技術與網際網路頻寬的提昇，視訊會議、遠距教學、網路電話(VoIP,Voice over IP)、隨選視訊(VoD, Video on Demand)等服務是使用者對網路需求的重要應用。隨著各種網路技術與生活的結合，我們的日常生活已經與網路息息相關，不可分離。本文主要介紹目前中華電信寬頻「互動式多媒體隨選服務」(MOD, Multi-media On Demand)所提供的服務內容、MOD的系統架構包括網路架構及其網路元件和視訊伺服器(Video Server)等相關議題。然而，目前MOD仍有一些問題亟待改善，本文提出目前MOD服務透過網路提供服務，因為視訊影音服務需要很大的頻寬，所以看影片常會有頻寬不足訊號中斷等問題，加以探討並提出解決或改進方法，最後，探討MOD未來的工作及未來寬頻影音新紀元的願景。
