Digital watermarking techniques have been proposed for the copyright protection of digital images. An HCH watermarking technique [15] based on one-way hash function could be effectively removed by bit complement attack by Chou [4] without knowing any secret information This main goal of the proposed method is to improve the robustness and capacity of the HCH scheme, a robust watermarking scheme based on the characteristics of human visual system (HVS) is proposed to resist such an attack; the experimental results approve that it is not only immune to bit complement attack, but also to the other common image processing operations such as JPEG/JPEG2000 compression, resizing and cropping, and so on.
