Title:	吳岳剛海洋垃圾影像展：酗塑膠的美人魚 The Plastiholic Mermaid

Abstract:	世上如果真有美人魚，她大概深受塑膠的毒害，因為海洋充滿塑膠垃圾，而塑膠產生嚴重的污染。海洋垃圾問題的關鍵在於塑膠廢棄物，而塑膠廢棄物凸顯我們生活中許多的便利是以永續作為代價。我們沉溺於塑膠的方便，卻對塑膠如何危害環境和人體所知不多。儘管塑膠的危害並非立即可見，但是製造、使用和棄置塑膠所產生的毒性已經進入食物鏈，並且化身為環境賀爾蒙，直接或間接引發種種健康的問題。因此，現代人不只沉溺於塑膠的便利，我們其實是冒著健康的風險在「酗」塑膠。海洋垃圾和塑膠汙染都涉及複雜的社會、經濟因素，難以找到立竿見影的解決辦法。不過，我們每次消費都是在表態。我們可以減少對塑膠的依賴。我們可以隨身攜帶容器、布袋、紙袋和（重複使用）塑膠袋。我們可以減少消費和浪費。我們可以支持那些友善環境的商品和商店。這些行動會減少海裡的塑膠垃圾，也會促使更多廠商開發安全、永續的材料。
