    Abstract: 從臺灣學術網路資料流量統計發現WWW網路服務其月流量持續成長趨勢，又正當我國推動國家資訊通信基本建設之際，WWW網路服務應加以重視與開發，並作有效、長久的規劃與管理。本研究首就目前我國WWW使用的現況作一分析，對其一般服務項目如導覽介紹、圖書館服務等，舉以代表性WWW站作詳細現況具體描述，並探究其發展與管理上的優劣之處，其次針對 「實體服務層面之改善」、「多元化、全方位、專業性服務型態之建立」、「相關法規之制定」等問題與困難，提供參考之改善建議 ，然後提出 「遠距教學」、「遠距診斷」兩項未來發展重點。
