    Title: Student Voice of Higher Education Evaluation: Analyzing Practice and Influential Factors of Student Evaluation of Teaching

    Abstract: Conventional student evaluation teaching (SET) has becoming a feature in the advanced countries higher education systems. Student-led evaluation increasingly plays a role of guiding important university decisions around teaching quality, academic promotion and budgeting. However, some researches of student evaluation have demonstrated that student opinion-based evaluation remains highly fragile and susceptible to various kinds of influences. Also, the application of evaluation results is still a controversial issue in both Taiwan and other countries. This paper tries to explore the development of student evaluation teaching, illustrating its practice as well as influential factors and analyzing the controversy of it. This paper provide an overall discussion of current situation of student evaluation teaching in order to construct a holistic landscape of student voice of higher education evaluation.
    傳統以學生評鑑教師教學(student evaluation teaching, SET)的途徑現今在先進國家高等教育中成為一項特色。以學生為主導的評鑑(student-led evaluation),對大學在有關教學品質和學術晉升的重要決策及政府的預算方面,愈來愈扮演著引導性的角色。然而,部分研究明白指出,以學生意見為基礎的評鑑存在高度不穩定性,且容易受到各種因素影響。對於學生評鑑的結果是否有效,或是評鑑結果的運用在國內、外持續有許多爭議與不同的聲音,本研究試圖透過釐清SET的發展、實施及其影響因素並探討其中的爭議,針對SET在國內、外現行的狀況及觀點做一綜合性的討論,建構以學生意見在高等教育評鑑中所扮演之角色更完整的圖像。
