    Abstract: 地理環境的阻隔、風俗民情的差異，加上刻板印象的影響，讓阿拉伯世界總是充滿神祕色彩，彷彿蒙上一層面紗，難以一探究竟。本書從深入的視角全面剖析阿拉伯人的食、衣、住、行、生活習慣、傳統價值，以及重要的思想成果，尤其著墨於他們與世界主流文化相異的思想與價值。除了系統性的介紹，並穿插一些著名的阿拉伯故事及作者在當地生活的經驗，讓人能輕鬆了解阿拉伯文化概況。就阿拉伯各國文化發展方向而言，阿拉伯人似乎早已為自己的族群和文化定位，在全球化中堅守宗教訓誨，維護傳統價值，而這種堅持讓阿拉伯文化在今日世界顯得突出，而且彌足珍貴。
