    Abstract: 中世紀伊拉克首府巴格達有一位傑出的阿拉伯詩人Ibn al-Rumi,擅長寫哀悼、諷刺詩,文采洋溢,卻被認為是最衰的文人。他命運多舛,年少繼承父親龐大遺產,大半被他揮霍殆盡,剩餘的也在各種災難中流失,譬如住屋遭搶、作物遭蝗災。三十歲時,母親、長兄、妻子、三個兒子相繼過世,這些遭遇使他經常惶恐不安,習慣等待災難的降臨,妄想被迫害。他生命中找不到任何可以樂觀的元素,導致喜歡孤獨、喜歡批評和諷刺他人。
