    Title: 發揮3特色,感受學生大躍進

    Abstract: 一所位於美國最貧窮區域的學校,學生的母語都不是英文,識字率遠低學區平均水準,如何找到合適的教學系統,四年內幫助學生在測驗分數上進步,並獲得國家藍絲帶獎?奎斯特(化名)公立小學建立在一九六七年,位於美國東北一個大型都市,曾經是一所磁力學校(magnet school),提供另類教育,採用開放教室、主題教學與混齡教學等模式。後因學區領導與要求改變以及貧窮學生比率上升,學校文化與教學也隨之改變,傳統教學方式重現,教科書支配課程,學業成就卻下降,學生識字程度低於學區平均水準。二○○一年,該學區局長要求學校革新教育,給了該校三個教育方案選擇:閱讀優先(Reading First)、美國之選(America`s Choice)或人人成功(Success for All)?
