Title:	發揮3特色，感受學生大躍進

Abstract:	一所位於美國最貧窮區域的學校，學生的母語都不是英文，識字率遠低學區平均水準，如何找到合適的教學系統，四年內幫助學生在測驗分數上進步，並獲得國家藍絲帶獎？奎斯特（化名）公立小學建立在一九六七年，位於美國東北一個大型都市，曾經是一所磁力學校（magnet school），提供另類教育，採用開放教室、主題教學與混齡教學等模式。後因學區領導與要求改變以及貧窮學生比率上升，學校文化與教學也隨之改變，傳統教學方式重現，教科書支配課程，學業成就卻下降，學生識字程度低於學區平均水準。二○○一年，該學區局長要求學校革新教育，給了該校三個教育方案選擇：閱讀優先（Reading First）、美國之選（America`s Choice）或人人成功（Success for All）？
