    Title: 台灣報紙在危機時期的內容變動及其功能之研 究－以「美國與中共建交」事件為例

    Abstract: 當社會發生不尋常緊張狀態時，社會體系的運作會產生變化，接連影響到體系中傳播活動的加劇。民國六十七年十二月十六日，「美國與中共建交」事件發生，作者也曾藉此從事「台灣傳播體系在社會面臨危機時的早期運作及其媒介功能之研究－以『美國與中共建交』事件為例」的研究，而本文則是接續著分析在這次事件中報紙內容的變動及其負荷功能。 本研究採用內容分析，並選定中國時報、聯合報、中央日報及自立晚報作為分析對象。 根據研究分析，本研究主要發現可分為「內容的變動」和「內涵的分析」兩大類。在社會面臨危機時期，報紙內容變動部分是新聞與言論的版面，在消息來源則增加採用「本報」的消息，有關「斷交」的新聞增多，而與斷交無關的內容，除了「軍事」新聞增多外，其他皆大幅減少。在報紙內涵分析部分，有關斷交的內容，可歸納為「告悉資訊」、「背景資訊」和「影響資訊」三種主題。其中，「影響資訊」在抽樣報紙的三天均佔絕對多數。而有關斷交的新聞內涵中，可分析出含有「責難」、「寬解」、「促勉」和「評議」四種價值。 大體而言，台灣報紙在斷交突發後短短三天中，不僅提供相當詳盡的有關資訊，同時也在新聞報導中解除讀者不安情緒，增加對中華民國前途的信心，也為讀者提供替代性參與，協調讀者間不同意見，使其相互交流，有助於社會的再整合。
