    Title: 紙質檔案保存教育之修業規範與課程規劃研究
    A Study on Course Requirement and Curriculum Programming in Education of Archives Conservation

    Abstract: 紙質檔案承載著人類重要歷史資訊,為當前數量最多之檔案類型。由於其易隨時間變化而老化與破損,為能使其長久流傳於後代,須執行保存工作,以延長其保存壽命。而當前,保存實務工作人才主要由正規教育培育,其能以系統性之課程教授保存實務工作相關知識與技術,亦可訓練學生研究與實驗能力;但同時,其對開課數與授課時數之限制,亦令學生較難獲得足夠之訓練時間與機會。此顯示當前正規教育之保存實務人才培育模式尚未達於完善。

    故本研究為探尋紙質檔案保存教育之完善辦法,藉由比較國內外紙質檔案保存相關系所之修業規範與課程規劃,以及詢問國內大專院校紙質文物保存課程任課教師與保存系所畢業學生對當前紙質檔案保存教育之看法,以瞭解紙質檔案保存教育之現況與問題。而研究結果發現,目前紙質檔案保存教育之修業規範與課程規劃主要有五個問題:一、修業與授課時間不夠充裕;二、入學門檻缺少「具備基礎科學知識」之規定;三、學生之實務訓練機會仍不足;四、分數難以如實反映手藝技巧之表現;五、最低實習時長平均低於半年,且國內實習單位普遍較難提供實習訓練。

    針對上述五個問題,本研究分別提出五項建議:一、實行大學至研究所一貫教育以延長修業年限,並增加課外實習機會;二、於入學資格增加「化學與物理修課成績」之規定以確保學生於入學前具基礎科學知識;三、與業界合作教學或鼓勵學生參與專案以改善當前實務訓練之不足;四、建立統一之修復表現評分標準;五、提高最低實習時數門檻,並鼓勵學生至國外相關單位實習。

    Paper archives bear the important information of human history. They are the most types of archives, and easily become ageing and damaged as time goes on. In order to spread them to our posterity, we should implement conservation works to extend their life. Currently, the conservators are primarily cultivated by formal education, which can teach knowledge and skills of conservation by systematic curriculum, and can also train ability of research and experiment. However, the amount of course and the time of teaching which limited by formal education are hard to let students to gain enough time and chance to be train. So, its shows that methods of cultivation of conservators in formal education has not been perfect yet.

    In order to understand the current situations and problems of formal education of paper archives conservation, this study compares the course requirement and the curriculum programming which related to formal education of paper archives conservation between domestic and foreign, and interviews the teachers who are teaching paper conservation in the domestic colleges and the students who have graduated from the domestic colleges which are relation in paper conservation. The results of this study show that it exist five problems in the course requirement and the curriculum programming of formal education of paper archives conservation: 1, There is not enough time for study and teaching; 2, The regulation of admission is lacking in “having basic scientific knowledge”; 3, Students still have not enough opportunities for practical training; 4, It is hard to express the performance of skills by a score; 5, The lowest length of internship is less than half a year on average, and general domestic institutions are difficult to provide internship training.

    According to the results above, this study offers five suggestions: 1, Implementing a consistent education from the Bachelor to the Master to extend the length of study, and increasing extracurricular practice opportunities; 2, Increasing the regulation of “chemistry and physics course scores” to insure that students have basic science knowledge before admission; 3, Cooperating with institutions to teach, or encouraging students to participate in projects, in order to improve the problems of lacking of opportunities in practical training; 4, Establishing a unifying scoring standard of repairing performance; 5, Raising the lowest length of internship, and encouraging students to practice in foreign internship institutions.
