    Abstract: 有人說唐朝無賦，也有人說此期賦不僅最盛，還具承上啓下之要位。如此兩極的評價其實正突顯出唐賦的「變革」特質。而身處唐賦繁榮期的柳宗賦作，除了是個人生命之投映，亦爲唐賦之縮影。依此，本文於《柳河東全集》中檢得<瓶賦>、<牛賦>、<解崇賦>、<囚山賦>、<闖尸蟲文>、<斬曲几文>、<宥蝮蛇文>、<憎王孫文>、<逐畢方文>、<辨伏神文>、<愬螭文>、<披沙揀金賦>、<迎長日賦>、<記里鼓賦>十四篇詠物賦作，一探柳宗元的內心世界，並及唐賦之傳承與流變。研究發現柳宗元詠物賦帶有濃重的憂淒與慎慨。因此，與其說此類作品是柳宗元寄託教訓的寓言，無寧說是他個人激憤的抒發。此外由柳宗元詠物賦可以看到唐賦中律賦與文賦交迭的軌跡，可以得知唐賦言理之傾向，可以看到賦與專奇密切的關係。其詠物作品內容之轉變－結合寫物、抒情、諷諭與說理；形式之多變與創新－結合文、騷、詩、賦，即是唐賦見重見輕的關鍵所在，認同唐賦之革新者，謂爲賦史之繁榮；執著於古式者稱之爲賦之死亡。此外，這些篇幅短小精練的詠物賦，勇於吸收民間材料，且說理方式出於世人之共同訴求－人世不明之慨、明珠見沉之歎、眾人皆醉我獨醒之痛；再加上一點「叛逆」的精神－人謂蝮蛇毒甚，我偏宥之；人謂尸蟲以上讒得帝饗，我偏說上帝正直，必不如是；人以爲曲几、鴟夷、蠃驢爲巧，我偏認定不可取。凡此種種，對後代詠物作品都有相當大之啟發因說柳宗元詠物賦具有承先啟後之地位當非泛泛之譽。
