    Title: 貞觀之治與儒家的德治思想

    Abstract: 本文是主要目的，是在借深具儒家風範的貞觀時代，來探究儒家思想的政治功能，並觀察他是否足以成就治世。本文根據儒家思想的要旨，貞觀時代的政治社會狀況，而從以下的三個方向來分析：(一)德治思想：他在政治運用後雖已大為變質，而且若無崇功務實精神的配合，也無法獨力成就貞觀之治。但是，他確有指引政治運作的功能，對貞觀之治的助益也很大。(二)聖君觀念：儒家以為君主是孕發德治力量的泉源，故將治世的希望寄托於君主。唐太宗的任賢、納諫，雖為政治注入無窮的活力，但他并不真是儒家的理想君主，聖君觀念對他的潛移默化也是頗有限度的。(三)人際關係：人際關係的適切運用，有助於貞觀政治的和諧安定，但門第之見與繼承之爭，反而加深了朋黨危機，並使得儒家和諧政治的理想難以實現。由此可知，貞觀之治不盡因儒家思想的引導才締造出，但儒家思想確實助成貞觀之治。
