    Abstract: 隨著高等教育急速擴張，大學數量激增，高等教育在二十世紀末已正式邁入市場化的新時代，在此激烈競爭中，如何確保大學教育品質，已成為目前社會大眾最關切的問題之一，許多由媒體雜誌、學術團體或政府單位所進行的「大學排名」也應蘊而起。「美國新聞與世界報導」( U.S.News & World Report )每年所發表的全美大學排行榜，即被公認為目前最具影響力的大學排名之一。
