Title:	台灣地區的閱聽人與媒介內容

Abstract:	我國大眾傳播與國家發展的系列研究，可分為三階段研究，第一期為閱聽人研究，第二期為資訊或消息的傳播過程與反應研究，第三期是從閱聽人研究與過程研究之後的傳播者及其研究。而三個研究雖然項目不同，卻都是試圖了解閱聽人，增加推動傳播協助發展的基礎。台灣的閱聽人接觸媒介的基本動機是增廣見聞以及與家人朋友共享樂趣，其中以電視、報紙、收音機等媒介最能滿足這些需求，而研究媒體消息流傳的過程與民眾反應方式，則是為了驗證兩級傳播理論（two step flow of communication）在台灣地區的真實性，並捨棄意見領袖的觀念，而探究「告知者」與「非告知者」之間的關係與異同。除此之外，本文也研究了台灣地區的傳播者，包含了兩類人物，一是政府與執政黨的新聞政策決定者與執行者，二是大眾媒介的主持人士與執行人士。本文透過對傳播者認知、傳播者個人特性、傳播者對媒介表現的評價、傳播者的工作關係以及傳播者對閱聽人的了解，試圖勾勒出台灣地區傳播者的圖像。最後，則是針對台灣地區最具代表性的三種傳播媒介內容－報紙、新聞、廣播，進行廣泛考量，探討媒介內容、閱聽人及其社會功能的關係。
