    What is Marketing? Marketing is a process through which we come to understand our customers and satisfy our customers. This paper focuses on the principles of service marketing and provides a basis for understanding how these basic concepts can be applied in libraries. By using a marketing planning process, this paper offers a step-by-step guide to help librarians apply service marketing principles to increase the effectiveness of library services.
