In recent years, the rapid development of the technology result in industry transformation. The Internet of Things has brought an opportunity for digital transformation of industries. Since “Industry 4.0” was proposed, the Internet of Things was introduced into the manufacturing environment. The prelude of the fourth industrial revolution was unveiled. Soon the Industrial Internet of Things has became the focus of industries. The widespread application of Industrial Internet of Things technologies will create a new blue ocean, and it is necessary to gain access to the blue ocean through “Value Innovation” strategic logic. However, the literature related to Industrial Internet of Things vendors is quite rare. To this end, the study was adopted in case-study method and analyzing the strategy of Industrial Internet of Things vendors on value innovation perspective under Industry 4.0.

The study finds that value innovation strategy under Industry 4.0 is not a breakthrough in technology. It transformed the development of strategy from technology-oriented to application-oriented. Most of strategic actions are conducted in an alliance manner so that the members can complement each advantages and technical resources in various fields. Aim to overcome the obstacles to building Industrial Internet of Things and increase the adding-value of products through the application of different advanced technologies. The results of the study provide a reference for other Industrial Internet of Things vendors when they develop value innovation strategies under the Industry 4.0.
