Abstract:	本文討論的重點，在透過對於《四庫全書總目》〈史部•史評類〉所錄明代著述的評價，分析明人史評類論著在學術淵源與時代因素影響之下，所呈現的若干特點。《四庫全書總目》站在特定的政治立場與學術觀點上，認為明人的史評論著多乏學術根柢，詞藻亦多浮誇。然而明人對於《史通》版本刊正的貢獻，以及在評釋詮解《史通》著作上的努力，成果豐碩。另一方面，雖然普遍而言，明人史評論著依據的史實頗有不足。但是，在歷史淵源與學術傳承的影響下，司馬光《資治通鑑》與朱熹《資治通鑑綱目》兩書的書法義例與立論精神，仍被明人史評論著奉為圭臬，立為撰述旨趣的先導標竿。此外，明朝由於私人撰寫當代歷史的風氣頗盛，又在明代中晚期時局日益動盪的雙重影響之下，晚明出版的史評論著中，也不乏運用借古諷今的筆法來影射當世的著作。再者，明代史評論著因具史學的通俗形式與普及功能。明人的史評著作在晚明時期也開始影響時代社會，成為鄉塾童蒙與應試舉業教材中的一種。
