Title:	二十世紀初期台灣通俗小說的女性形象－以李逸濤在《漢文台灣日日新報》的作品為討論對象

Abstract:	台灣小說的創作主要奠基於日治時代，但並非始自1920年代，在此之前的報章中便已出現若干小說作品，其中又以通俗小說為夥。此類作品，或出於日人之手，或成於古典文人，後者往往以淺近文言文書寫，究中，身任《臺灣日日新報》記者的李逸濤，最具盛名，而其早期創作頗多發表於《漢文臺灣日日新報》上，且以描寫女性人物見長。本文透過剖析李氏作品，發現其人藉由廣受歡迎的通俗小說書寫，在大眾娛樂趣味中建構了頗具意義的新女性圖像，從虛構的俠女，到日常中的嬌女、母親、情人、繼母、寡婦、妓女……，或虛或實，呈顯豐富想像空間；尤其在台灣、中國女子外，更涵蓋了世界異國女子，包括韓國、波斯、新加坡、日本、美國、法國……等國女性的刻畫，較諸後來新文學作品多以台灣女子為主，間及中國、日本女子的情形，更具世界想像，充滿異國情趣。
