    Abstract: 相對於大多執迷直線性時間的前輩，少數在九○年代崛起的所謂「五年級」男作家卻著墨於循環性時間的敘述。在袁哲生、張啟疆與駱以軍的某些小說裹，我們注意到他們隱約地發展出一種在固定地點讓時間循環的敘事模式。這種「定點循環」的小說篇幅也許不算太多，也並非同世代作家的書寫通則，卻顯得相當獨特，尤其是搭配上文本中的男性新形象。他們筆下的男性人物，都有未泯的童心，不斷地回溯年少時的棒球場、遊樂園，或是沉迷於電動遊戲機裹。他們熱中於在特定的地點上，一遍遍操作同樣的遊戲，讓時間重覆地迴環，直到自已的意願得到滿足。
    新世代男作家們的「懷舊」與「未來感」看似矛盾實則並行不悖，他們既非追憶純真過往，也不是寄寓烏托邦式的未來。本文的目的即是探討這種新型態小說時空型的敘述模式，如何將當代社會關係與性別權力的轉變投射到對空間與時序的幻想上。有如時鐘運轉的「定點、循環」時空形式的主要作用，究竟與文本中新（好）男人們的時代感知有何關聯？
