    Title: 楊逵與糞現實主義文學論爭

    Abstract: 一九四三年間，臺灣文壇爆發了糞現實主義文學論爭，參與者大致可劃分為《文藝臺灣》與《臺灣文學》雜誌兩大陣營。以西川滿為首的《文藝臺灣》作家將臺籍作家慣用的現實主義輕蔑地冠之以「糞」字，並指稱本島籍作家只會描寫虐待繼子或家族葛藤的問題與陋俗，直接點名批判張文環與呂赫若等臺籍作家沒有皇民意識。其間身處暴風圈外的楊逵以「伊東亮」筆名發表〈擁護糞現實主義〉,積極介入論爭。配合包括遺稿〈插秧比賽〉和〈建設性的文學－昭和十七年臺灣文學界的回顧〉等作品來看，楊逵之所以挺身與全力推動皇民文學的西川滿等人成為論敵，一方面是基於長期以來對日人作家外地文學論與浪漫主義耽美文風的不滿；另一方面乃源於對以文學協力戰爭的極力抗拒。殖民地支配階級與被支配階級在文學與文化基本立場上的相異之處，透過這次的文學論爭清晰可見。
