Drawing on the social exchange theory, this research examined the relationship between ethical leadership and employee voice behavior, and tested the mediating roles of affect-based trust and team member's perception of relationship conflict. The data collected from 526 employees from 73 teams in 35 companies in Taiwan. The results showed that ethical leadership has a positive effect on employee voice behavior, while affect-based trust and team member's perception of relationship conflict play the mediating roles between the relationship of ethical leadership and employee voice behavior. This indicates that ethical leadership can stimulate subordinates' voice behaviors through the promotion of affect-based trust and the prevention of perceived relationship conflicts. The contributions to both ethical leadership and employee voice behavior literature are discussed and the limitations of the current study and the directions for future research are provided.
