Title:	媒體與科技社會之公民能力：以奈米科技為例

Abstract:	科學傳播的模式已從強調單向灌輸，轉為重視各界的參與及對話，民眾在此過程中的角色也大為不同。為了參與及對話，民眾必須對科學有基本的認識、對爭議事件的不同面向有基本之瞭解，而這些科技社會公民決策能力的取得，都和媒體有密切關係。本研究以奈米科技為例，探討媒體如何建構公眾參與的基礎條件。本研究於2012年三月委託政治大學選舉研究中心對全體台灣民眾進行電話調查，共成功訪問918個有效樣本。本研究發現，電視對於民眾的支持度有正面的直接影響，同時也能透過降低風險感知間接提升奈米支持度。而雖然報紙沒有直接影響，但可透過提升奈米知識水準來增加利益感知、支持度。至於網路，本研究並未發現任何直接與間接影響。研究結果顯示，不同的媒體管道造就不同的科學決策能力，藉由瞭解媒體的角色，科學傳播學者或專家不僅得以選擇適當的管道或策略，以進行有效之溝通，更能夠藉助大眾傳媒的力量培養科技社會所需之公民。
