    Abstract: 本研究透過次級資料的分析,檢視個案公司——雲頂集團的資源能力與企業成長路徑的關係,同時找出企業成長過程中關鍵性的核心能力,並分析企業進行多角化的目的與方式。通過企業成長路徑之分析,本研究發現企業所累積的資源與其成長方向保持著一致性,包括多角化產業的類型上也與累積的資源能力息息相關。此外,針對Penrose對企業成長理論的描述,找出促使企業成長的原因,包括:未被充分利用的資源與企業家的創新與創業能力,其中政商關係為雲頂集團成長最主要的核心能力。最後通過對雲頂多角化過程的檢視,歸納出雲頂進行多角化的目的主要是為了規避風險與提升企業價值,並以收購的策略進行多角化的擴張,以較低的成本獲得該領域的知識與降低經營風險。
