    Title: 美國大學攝影教育現況兼窺探其數位化的未來

    Abstract: 台灣學院裡的專業攝影教育，在近十年的努力之後，不但沒有令人鼓舞的成果，連僅有的世新大學「攝影組」都遭到裁撤命運。但從樂觀角度來看攝影工業的數位化，或許是台灣相關藝術教育改變的重要契機。畢竟，無論對當下或最近的未來，透過影像的大眾傳播或藝術表現形式都是主流，而這方面較為先進的美國經驗，應有許多值得我們參考、借鏡處。作者從自身的觀察與體認中，假設（全球）大學院校的攝影教育，由傳統到數位化相關問題有：（一）專業「數位攝影教師」的來源不清；（二）現有的數位攝影教學，不應僅止於拍照或輸出色彩管理，應隨其環境主流的改變，而有全新的內容。2006年在國科會海外短期研究計畫支助下，個人延續早先在地的研究，以「教學行政」、「學生的數位回應」、「攝影教師對數位科技、影像美學的再思」等三大議題，參訪美國東部幾所代表性學校，了解它們數位攝影教育的情形。其間，個人還參加「攝影教育學會」2005年東部的區域年會（2005 SPE Mid-Atlantic Conference），進一步側觀其他相關問題。
