    Abstract: 近年來電腦等高科技的快速成長,進而促進資訊化的過程。資料庫的蓬勃發展,使得資料大量累積,長久之下,卻造成資料過多,資訊不足的嚴重問題。因此資料庫內的知識探索議題也隨之興起,而資料採礦(Data Mining)的過程,更是其中重要的一環。本文之「Data Mining雛形系統」結合統計軟體STATISTICA 5.5版,以Visual Basic 6.0語言開發一個簡易的使用者介面,此系統中有關資料採礦的部分主要包含資料管理及統計分析兩大主軸。最後,藉由簡易地操作方式與多功能的分析表單內容,找出六年來臺灣(含金馬地區)死亡原因之趨勢與關連的資訊,希望這些資訊能對研究死因的學者專家和政府官員在對病因的探討上有所助益。
    For the past decades the development in computer technology has advanced so rapidly that it brings forth the enormous supply of data information. As a result, we are faced with the situation where we have an abundance of data availability yet little valued information can be extracted and inferred from it. Valuable information therefore has been lost or hidden unnecessary during the process. Bearing with the existence of such an issue, it has opened up the interest for further research in the database. The research of Data Mining is one of the subjects coming off from such an interest. This paper ”Draft of Data Mining System” focuses on developing a user friendly operating system using the statistical software-STATISTICA and Visual Basic 6.0. The operating system that contained the section of data mining has two major topics: Data Management and Statistical Analysis. Finally the research has adopted the application of the interfaced friendly operating system and multiple-purposes statistical techniques using the death data provided by Statistics Office, Department of Health from 1994-1999, in Taiwan.
