Abstract:	本文檢視國會議員代表行為的研究現狀與研究方法，研究發現只出國會研究在美國自一九六O年代以來蓬勃發展，然而，對於國會研究中的一些最基本概念及其測量方式，研究者之間仍有相當多的歧見，而此一歧見相當程度地影響到研究者對於國會議員代表程度的評價。同時，研究發現亦指出，國會研究的方法相當多元化，但每一種研究方法各有一定的優缺點，因此，作者有兩個建議：第一，瞭解每一種研究方法的優缺點以及其限制，掌握每一種研究方法的優點，以試圖去解答所欲解答的理論性問題；第二，使用多角度的研究方法，以求在使用不同的方法之下得到共同的結論，如此得以對研究問題提出較佳的解答。
