    摘要: 臺灣於1993年正式邁入高齡化社會，老年人口逐年攀升，中老年人成為我們所關心的族群之一，近年來以中老年人為主的研究也愈來愈多。
    本文使用2003年行政院衛生署國民健康局「臺灣地區中老年身心社會生活狀況長期追蹤－長期研究第五次調查」資料庫之數據，並運用多元羅吉特模型（Multinomial Logit Model）的計量方法，分析臺灣地區50歲以上2,414位中老年人的個人變數對於其消費支出財源的影響，觀察相對效果與邊際效果的結果，最後顯示出中老年人消費支出財源在不同的個人變數下有不同的影響。
    從研究中發現中老年人消費支出財源受變數影響而分成三類，並非全部的中老年人都有能力自行支付生活開支，又加上臺灣有少子化的趨勢，青少年面對中老年人的負擔提高，政府應當提出與中老年人相關的老人政策，因應未來可能會產生的問題。
