    Abstract: 評點是中國文學批評特有的實踐性批評形式之一。評估之作原是針對詩與古文而來，后來才出現小說評點。小說評點不僅是評點者本身的嘔心瀝血的再創造，而且是嚴肅的學術評論。因此，其實際發生的效果和作用都是不應低估的，值得一番精研的工夫。小說評點盛於明代，其中容與堂本與袁無涯本《水滸》評點時間較早而影響也很大，則兩種《水滸》評點是中國古典小說理論的實際開端和寶庫。
    本論文討論的重點，如下三點：（１）檢討《水滸傳》各種評本，而以辨明兩種評本的真偽；（２）整理分析兩種評點，究明其小說理論的面貌和價值；（３）比較分析其兩種評點的同異及小說理論上的影響。本文共約十五萬字分七章研討如下：
    第一章：緒論。分為二節。敘述筆者的研究目的及方法，以及評點之概說。
    第二章：共分為二節。探討小說評點之流變及明代小說理論的概錶。
    第三章：共分為二節。探討《水滸傳》各種評本的面貌，進而探究兩種評本的真偽問題。
    第四章：共分為三節。探究袁本評點的內容，即將其小說理論歸納整理為評者的思想、人物批評、小說藝術批評。
    第五章：共分為三節。探究容本評點的內容，即將其小說理論歸納整理為評者的思想、人物批評、小說藝術批評。
    第六章：分為三節。探討兩種評點內容的同異及影響。
    第七章：結論。論述在小說理論史上兩種評點的價值。
