    Abstract: 本文綜合並檢討過去數年研究記者工作之心得，試圖針對記者工作之性質及其知識基礎，提出今後進一步研究的分析架構。 本研究計劃主要的前提是，從事報導工作本質上是一個解決問題的歷程，因此研究記者工作即在探討其表徵問題和發現解決方案的過程。 本文分作兩部分。 第一部分說明本研究開始時採用資訊處理的觀點，主要在分析記者的知識如何影響問題解決的品質。 第二部分則對此一角度提出反省，並指出在研究記者工作時必須考慮記者與情境的互動，才能透析記者問題的特性，也才能掌握記者工作所需的核心知識。 這一部分並且對記者核心知識的內涵提出初步的看法。
