Abstract:	2007年2月6日「紐約時報」發行人沙資柏格（Arthur Sulzberger, Jr.），在瑞士「世界論壇」會議上接受以色列記者訪問時說：「紐約時報正處於轉型期，轉型的終點就是結束印刷形式的紐約時報」。他的意思就是說，將來印刷報紙可能在世界上消失。美國自1970年後，經常舉辦人民對新聞媒介意見調查，主題之一是：假設一個社會在報紙、雜誌、廣播、電視4種媒介中，你僅能選擇保留一種，請問你願意保留那一種？答案是：經常選擇保留報紙者，約佔19%，選擇保留電視者，約佔60%。由此証明，報紙已日趨沒落。
