Abstract:	該書為國內第一部從歷史學與民族學的視野，完整描述清代西北回民抗清事變過程及其影響的專著。除透過文獻檔案、國內外專著與當代西北穆斯林社會田野資料的整理分析之外，該書對於伊斯蘭蘇非派在「回變」中所扮演的角色，以及中共「回民起義」史觀有所評析，此為該書重要特點之一。
