Title:	中國人的宗教觀

Abstract:	在中國無論是佛教道教，都受著儒家思想的影響，這使得中國人對人生的認知變得溫和、寬容、忍耐，也善於應變，這種宗教觀的力量，也影響中國歷史的發展。中國人是個有神信仰的民族，早在商朝時代，祖先崇拜即成為一個普遍流行的信仰。崇拜祖先是認為祖先死後有靈魂存在，這些靈魂常環繞在活人的四周，要常常祭祀之，一方面是希望祖先不要作祟，讓子孫生病遭禍害，一方面也是祈求祖先保佑子孫能活的平安。商朝人不但崇拜祖先，且認為萬事萬物皆有神，日月星辰、山川風火，甚至於門窗桌椅都有神存在，所以商朝人信的神種類繁多。雖然孔子說過「敬鬼神而遠之」，但他並沒有認為鬼神不存在，反認為「祭神如神在」(《論語．八佾》)，所以孔子是相信鬼神的，只是他不談鬼神，因為孔子覺得自己的時間精力在研究人世間現象已來不及，所以沒有時間精力探討鬼神的問題。從孔子以後，鬼神崇拜一直存在中國社會中，也普遍被中國人接受，中國人遇到困難痛苦時，常喜歡喊一句話：「老天爺啊，幫幫我的忙吧！」何以會喊老天爺？因為中國人相信所有的神都住在天上，所以喊老天爺其實就是在喊眾神，請眾神趕快幫忙。
