Abstract:	法人醫院在醫療服務提供上扮演不可或缺的角色。大約三分之一的住院服務由法人醫院提供，它的市佔率在健保實施後更行提高。然而，實證上非常少研究在瞭解權屬別對臺灣醫院市場的衝擊，大多數文獻集中在美國的經驗，臺灣的經濟付之闕如。本研究在瞭解醫院權屬別和其提供的醫療品質和成本間的關聯性。具體而言，我們比較中風病人在法人和私立醫院間所受的醫療服務的差異，和分析法人醫院有否對私立醫院和整體醫療市場造成外溢效果。我們先使用健保基本檔（HOS, HOSB, DOC, PER, DETA)，醫院權屬別(公立、私立、法人)和其他醫院特性；其次，我們使用健保住院明細檔（DD），結合衛生署的死亡檔，比較中風病人在不同權屬的申報費用和死亡比率，最後，在考慮到外溢效果上，我們分析法人醫院的市佔率是否會降低私立醫院和整體市場的死亡率。
