    Abstract: 本計畫擬以「漢譯大乘佛典中神通故事的敘事研究」，為筆者繼92 年度國科會計畫「漢譯佛典四阿含中僧人神通形象的敘事研究」、93 年度「漢譯佛典廣律中僧人神通形象的敘事研究」、94 年度「漢譯阿含廣律中僧人神通形象的敘事研究」的進階研究計畫。期望能做為筆者一系列循序漸進有計畫整理、勾勒、詮釋漢譯大、小乘經律中神通理論的發展變化、及僧人及佛菩薩等神通形象及故事的敘事方式；未來期望能更進一步研究中國各類僧傳、感應錄，乃至中國古典小說中的神通敘事。相對於阿含廣律中強調的是娑婆世界「僧人神通」，大乘經典中強調的則是十方世界的「菩薩神通」。關於菩薩神通的敘事，著重在以各種神通「故事」敘述菩薩展現廣大神通力來救度眾生、或是以神通故事來隱喻某一佛理奧義等；在此「故事」是指已經筆錄的故事，並非實際發生的或可能發生的故事。本計畫首先分析由阿含律典到大乘佛典「神通」理論、類型、修習方法的承繼、變化與發展、其次以敘事學的方法分析大乘佛典中「神通與救難」、「神通意象隱喻的奧義」、「特殊三昧神通故事」的敘事特色、以及由阿含廣律到大乘佛典中「神通與幻術之區隔與交疊」等的敘事特色；另亦分析由阿含廣律到大乘佛典中「互文性」神通故事的寓意等議題。
