    Abstract: 本計畫申請購置與社會階層、社會流動、教育社會學及專業社會學相關議題之研究圖書。購置此類圖書之目的是充實國立政治大學在此社會學研究議題上的研究圖書設備，並協助政治大學與此議題相關之系所，能建立有特色之研究圖書典藏，並提升從事此議題研究及教學的能量。目前台灣社會學界在此議題上之研究與教學方面，均有待進一步提升。由於政治大學社會學系及社會行政與社會工作研究所，不論是在師資結構、教師研究方向，或研究所之課程規劃等方面，均能高度配合發展與此議題相關之研究及教學，因此兩系所單位特提出本計畫。 經查詢 OCLC 資料庫，並比對政治大學圖書館與美國八所研究型大學在此重點議題方面之藏書後，發現即使是以收藏人文社會科學類圖書著稱之政大圖書館，在此議題典藏上有極大發展空間。本計畫規劃以兩年時間，其中第一年約10萬元美金，第二年約5萬元美金，購置與此議題相關之圖書設備，以達成本計畫之目的。
