    Abstract: 本文主要探討加拿大宏觀鑑定模式。在加拿大發展其宏觀鑑定模式之前，北美地區有關檔案鑑定主要以美國地區所發展的鑑定原則為依據。首先探討美國地區歷年來所發展的鑑定原則，自1940年代到1990年代，做一簡略的回顧。其次，對於加拿大地區所發展出獨特的宏觀鑑定模式予以探討，針對此模式發展之源起、做法、宏觀鑑定模式的核心—功能分析、功能分析的實例等項逐一介紹。最後，探討加拿大所發展的宏觀鑑定應用在我國的可行性。
