Title:	台灣宗教研究的範疇建立與前景發展

Abstract:	台灣「宗教研究」目前隸屬「哲學學門」，在國科會的行政歸類上尚未獨立。但是根據國科會的統計資料，在88-98 學年間申請過「宗教研究」的學者達到149 人，近三年（96-98）的資料又顯示，勾選「宗教研究」領域的申請案件分別是37、52、68，相對於同三年申請純「哲學」領域的133、106、121，「宗教研究」在整體「哲學學門」所佔的案件比例逐年增長，去年幾達三分之一（33%），今年則已超過三分之一（36%）。另一方面，台灣目前有十個宗教系、所，加上教育部新近開放各宗教團體籌設的「宗教研修學院」正式申請，納入教育部體制，其數量已有六、七個之多，而此數字仍在持續增加中。不少原屬宗教界的人士因而為學術界注入新血輪，未來在國科會申請「宗教研究」的案件將快速增長應是發展趨勢。宗教研究的學術人口顯著增加，滋養與壯大宗教學術圈，這本是可喜的現象，但是量的增加也意味著質的改變，對台灣「宗教研究」學域仍在摸索、形塑的階段而言，此將會是一大衝擊和挑戰。以下我針對「台灣宗教研究的範疇建立與前景發展」問題，從認知、視野、方法三層面提出幾點意見。
